Description

The Division of Nursing and Health Professions was awarded a $1,874.606 million grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration in July 2021. This grant is designed to enhance the behavioral health workforce. 

Focusing on psychiatric nurse practitioners and doctor of psychology (PsyD) in their last semester of clinical training, the grant will support the integration of behavioral health and primary care; cultural diversity in the workforce; interdisciplinary and inter-professional training; and the expansion of clinical training opportunities, especially in rural and medically underserved communities. The grant will also provide stipends to students in their last semester of practicum placement. 

Duties and Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the daily implementation and carrying out of activities. These will include, but not limited to, the following:
(1) Coordinate the incoming students in Practicum 3 for PMHNP, the final practicum and final practica for PsyD students for grant eligibility.
(2) Coordinate Professional Development programming and workshops for faculty, PMHNP and PsyD students, preceptors and field supervisors,
(3) Prepare and submit to Project Director any narrative reports required by HRSA. 
(4) Regularly meet and communicate with PIPELine students to promote their academic and social success.
(5) Check with students, Program Directors, and professors when necessary to see if workshops are suitable for specific classes i.e. PMHNP, PsyD and School Counseling.
(6) Work with presenters of workshops and professional development to be certain that the presenters have all equipment necessary for their presentations i.e. AV, IT and rooms; attend monthly leadership meetings.
(7) Send monthly reports to Project Director listing accomplishments and future goals.
(8) Coordinate closely with the outside evaluator to assure best practices in evaluating program activities/events/projects.
(9) Collaborate with leadership to plan and facilitate introductory sessions for newly accepted BHWET/PIPELine students immediately following regular Rivier Orientation.
(10) Regularly communicate with accepted students.
(11) Regularly communicate with faculty, staff, preceptors, and field supervisors at other institutions, including community organizations.
(12) Serve as contact person for BHWET/PIPELine program applicants.
(13) Communicate regularly with the BHWET/PIPELine Project Director regarding recruiting and other aspects of this position, including a monthly written update on the progress of the BHWET/PIPELine recruiting and admissions process.
(14) Provide the Project Director with relevant information regarding recruiting activities in a timely manner.
(15) Work with PIPELine administrative assistant closely, keeping her in the loop. (16) Work with PIPELine students in approving practicum placements each semester according to eligibility requirements. 

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science; experience with grant writing and grant coordination.
