The Conceptual Development Lab at the College of the Holy Cross, directed by Dr. Florencia Anggoro, is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to work on an NSF-funded project on how simple card games can promote learning about biological variability, with a focus on relational reasoning. Our project team includes Dr. Karl Rosengren (University of Rochester), Dr. Martha Alibali (University of Wisconsin-Madison), and Dr. Benjamin Jee (Worcester State University). This is an exciting opportunity for a recent college graduate who is interested in the intersection of cognitive development and education.
 
The Project Coordinator will organize the day-to-day operations of the Worcester, Massachusetts arm of the project under the supervision of the PIs. This includes liaising with museum partners, helping to develop study materials and coding manuals, managing data collection, overseeing the work of research assistants, maintaining project and participant databases and records, assisting with literature reviews, contributing to conference presentations and manuscripts, and communicating with team members at other sites. The position will include some weekend work to allow data collection at the museum.
 
Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, cognitive science, education, or a related field with at least one year of research experience. Transportation is required for local travel.
 
The successful candidate will possess:
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytic skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with basic office software (word processing, spreadsheets)
• Experience working with children and families
• Proficiency with statistical software and video technology
 
The position is a one-year, full-time appointment with benefits, pending continuation of funding, with the possibility of renewal. The annual salary range is $50,000-$52,000, and the anticipated start date is June 15, 2025.
