ANTICIPATED RATE OF PAY: $27.40 hourly, plus a comprehensive benefits package, to include membership in the Arizona State Retirement system
**UNDERFILL RATE OF PAY:  $26.85 hourly

NATURE OF WORK:  Under general supervision, develops structures and systems to successfully implement and manage all components of the awarded grant. Collaborates with the county school superintendent, Deputy County School Superintendent, and Outreach manager to execute all grant reporting requirements in an accurate and timely manner. Writes, manages and supervises all grant related projects.  Performs related work as assigned.

TYPICAL DUTIES: (Illustrative Only) Supports the Cochise County Superintendents Office by streamlining the School Based Mental Health Services (SBMH) Grant administration process; including developing long-term strategies, systems, and structures to support the sustainability of grant funding. Oversees grant goals, objectives, performance measures, and outcomes. Identifies and tracks grant funded staff and collaborates with the Outreach Manager and Deputy School Superintendent to verify alignment from the grant budget to personnel budgets. Convenes and documents meetings with all key personnel to reflect grant goals, outcomes and formulates recommendations for future improvements. Participates in workshops and professional development for the purpose of conveying, gathering information, and maintaining grant requirements. Prepares all required grant progress reports, periodic reports, and annual reports as required by the grant. Prepares grant reports and presentations for funding agencies and county school superintendent. Completes all Risk Assessment requirements. 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Education, Social Services, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education, plus three (3) years of experience managing large budgets. Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Level 1 fingerprint clearance card. Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license and the ability to be covered by county insurance.    

An equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may be considered

WORK ENVIRONMENTWork is primarily performed under general supervision. Incumbent generally performs work in a typical office setting with appropriate climate controls. Travel is required. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Essential functions of this position require: lifting, manual dexterity, ability to communicate.

Sedentary to Medium work: Requirements are dependent on the tasks of the day and range from Sedentary, exerting up to 10 pounds of force only occasionally with sitting for extended periods of time, to Medium, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, involves sitting and standing regularly, incumbents may be required to kneel, crouch/squat, crawl, climb, stoop, turn/twist, balance, reach, feel or manipulate with hands.

Mental Application:   Utilizes memory for details and verbal instructions, requires emotional stability, critical thinking and adaptability; creative problem-solving skills are important.
