Description

The Part-Time Project Coordinator - Site Liaison provides support to incarcerated individuals at the Lorain-Grafton Correctional Facility in Grafton, Ohio, and on occasion will assist LCCC’s Business Growth Services - Workforce team on the main campus.  This role involves acting as a liaison between the correctional facility and LCCC. The coordinator will collaborate with the Program Developer and the Director of School, Workforce, and Community Partnerships to ensure identification, screening, and recruitment of students align with departmental goals.  Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:  assisting students with the completion of admission documents; facilitating new student orientation and onboarding process.; and completing course registration with students each semester.  The Project Coordinator will also support the faculty and department dean with course materials. 

Additional responsibilities include:

Collaborating with program developers to track enrollment goals and class sizes each semester.

Manages & tracks student use of instructional supplies, textbooks, lab equipment and other LCCC property/materials.

Maintains student privacy and record keeping according to the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Provides administrative support to faculty teaching at correctional facilities including but not limited to – attendance reporting, printing and compiling handouts, tests & assignments, and providing basic IT support

Conducts and documents weekly meetings with individual students to review attendance, GPA, academic standards, academic progress, forms, etc.

Coordinates & facilitates virtual meetings for students with LCCC support services. 



Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) with virtual meetings and capacity to learn other technical skills. The ability to comprehend a variety of informational documents for reference including billing, invoices, contracts, and grants.  Detail-oriented with strong time-management and organizational skills that include the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks and assignments.  Excellent interpersonal skills: active listening, written, verbal, and customer service skills that include a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, and interact professionally with others internally and externally.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in either: academic advising, student financial aid or reentry & corrections, and previous experience with Student Information Systems.
