Its latest feature, Capital Explorer, helps founders identify the most appropriate funding options for their businesses. 

Role Overview

Village Capital is looking for a US-based Technical Project Coordinator who will be responsible for organizing, administering and communicating all the details of technology-related projects to team members and technology service providers, and serving as a liaison between those teams and the Head of Technology. 


This position serves as a stepping stone in the candidate’s career path towards technical project management. Reporting to the Head of Technology, the Technical Project Coordinator will have the following responsibilities:

  • Project Monitoring, Organization & Reporting: You will be responsible for tracking project progress, milestones, and deliverables; providing regular updates on achievements and potential blockers as well as project schedules and budgets; and maintaining and organizing project apps, files, reports, and credentials. This will also include ensuring secure and accessible documentation storage.
  • Stakeholder & Team Communications: You will act as a liaison between internal teams, tech contractors, technology vendors, and leadership. This will include ensuring internal and contracted resources are following proper communication procedures, routing, tagging timely requests or issues for follow-up by appropriate resources, and scheduling and facilitating meetings with clear agendas and follow-ups.
  • Technology & Vendor Coordination: You will oversee vendor relationships and service agreements, coordinate service requests and issue resolution with technology providers, and track and administer software renewals, trials, and cancellations.
  • Administrative Support: You will be responsible for handling billing, expense reporting and payables for technology services, as well as monitoring, reporting on and administering the paid subscription platform (Chargebee) for Abaca, This will also include assisting in budget tracking and researching financial reporting requests for tech-related projects. 

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is excited to explore and learn new tools and technologies and help others adopt them. With a blend of strong organizational, communication, and technical skills, they will excel at working collaboratively across both technical and non-technical teams. To excel in this role, the following qualifications will be essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or other relevant fields, or a combination of related experience and skill-sets
  • 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, technical or client support, or business analysis.Familiarity building and implementing project plans and tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Basecamp, Linear, Notion, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of modern, cloud-based technology stacks suited for a remote workforce. VilCap uses Google Workspace, Slack and Zoom as primary productivity and communication tools.
