Taracon Precast’ s Project Coordinator will support the Project Manager in planning, coordination, and overseeing all aspects of precast concrete construction projects. This position will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Essential Functions

Project Planning and Scheduling:

  • Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and schedules.
  • Facilitate RFI process, monitoring and following up with all parties as necessary.
  • Monitor and provide support for submittals, models, drawing sets to ensure execution and follow up.
  • Conduct takeoffs. 
  • Review ASIs.
  • Coordinate with various departments (design, production, logistics) to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules as needed.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact between the project team, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Facilitate communication among all stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Manage change order process, ensuring change orders are clear and properly documented with only authorized signatures.
  • Prepare and distribute regular project status reports.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project logs.
  • Track and review project costs, budgets, and invoices.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports, meeting minutes, and other documentation as required.
  • Ensure all communications ae accurately documented utilizing ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud database.

Quality Control and Compliance:

  • Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in conducting quality inspections and audits.
  • Ensure repair requests are issued, executed as required and completion properly documented.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to address any issues or discrepancies.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle and report any issues to the Project Manager.

Resource Management:

  • Coordinate the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Assist in managing project inventories and ensuring materials are available when needed.
  • Ensure all subcontractors are properly closed out in accordance with project plan completion date with proper documentation, so we are in a position to collect retainage fees faster. (Subcontractor focus: Caulking, Washing and Repairs/Patching).

Client and Stakeholder Management:

  • Support the Project Manager in managing client expectations and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Attend client meetings and assist in addressing client concerns or requests.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed on-site and that workers are adhering to safety regulations.
  • Report any safety incidents or concerns to the Project Manager and Safety Officer.

 

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred

Experience Requirements

  • 2-4 years’ experience in project coordination, preferably within the precast concrete or construction industry
  • Must have a strong understanding of construction processes, particularly in the precast concrete industry
  • Proficient knowledge with project management software and other construction related software required, as well as the ability to read blueprints and construction drawings and specifications will be preferred.
  • This position will require excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • The ability to multitask, prioritize, be independent, manage time effectively, and be a self-starter will be required with this role.
  • Problem solving and the ability to identify issues and implement solutions will be a key part of this role.
  • Must be able to work successfully as a team and collaborate with others.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations a plus.
