Project Coordinator Job Description

Seeking a Project Coordinator with 2+ Years in Electrical Construction Management

The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing the Project Managers with administrative support and coordinating procedures related to all phases of work. The development and implementation of document control for all projects.

Project Coordinator's Essential Duties include the following:

  • Comply with company safety policy 

  • Attend project turnover and kick-off meetings

  • Contribute to job setup, commodity material buyouts, compiling counts 

  • Help Manage all submittal packages, log status, and follow up until all items are approved and materials released 

  • Update and maintain required logs; RFI’s, CO’s, Submittals, O&M, Materials etc.

  • Manage document control for all assigned projects

  • Assist with site-specific programs such as Safety and Quality Control

  • Develop, Maintain, and Audit job files ensuring continuity

  • Monitor material returns and track credit memos

  • Provide the Project Manager with any required reports

  • Assist in estimating and cost analysis options.

  • Responsible for compliance with all Uihlein SOPs 

  • Develop and track labor production vs. work % complete and provide projection analysis.

  • Ensure all closeout documentation is complete

  • Assist the project team with take-offs, scheduling, and labor forecasting.

  • Other duties as assigned

Project Coordinator Requirements:

  • 2 years of prior experience in construction management project support required

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, preferred

  • Proficient in Office software. MS Office and Bluebeam
  • Proficient with construction accounting systems
  • Possess strong organizational skills and can plan, and coordinate multiple projects
  • Effectively communicate both verbally and through written format
  • Ability to maintain rapport with customers and employees

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work in an office where the job performance may require a long time sitting or standing. 

  • Produce, file, and perform other administrative functions as assigned. 

  • Ability to wear job-specific required PPE as needed.

  • Must be able to drive to various customer sites as required.

Work Environment:

  • Well-lit, heated, and/or air-conditioned modern office setting with adequate ventilation. 

  • Employees may experience exposure to heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow on job sites.
