The Project Coordinator will oversee and manage various aspects of asphalt projects from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities include scheduling, resource allocation, progress tracking, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information
  • Coordinate with sub-contractors to prepare project schedule
  • Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve
  • Help prepare budgets
  • Analyze risks and opportunities
  • Oversee project procurement management
  • Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
  • Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
  • Assist in preparation and acceptance of submittals
  • Other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
  • Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
  • An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
  • BS in Business Administration or related field  
  • One + years of experience in the road surfacing industry and project management experience, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
